Description
This 1950 photo shows the Anglo California Bank at 2863 35th St., which was built in 1918 for $10,000, replacing the bank’s previous wood frame building. Its new sign would read Citizens' Bank of Sacramento, representing a milestone for the burgeoning business and a time when the previously unincorporated community of Oak Park was now a part of Sacramento. To accommodate the expected increase in business, the bank increased its capital accordingly.
