Description
Identity of photographer questionable. Note: Hälfte eines Stereobildes. - Gem. T. Garrard: Hornberger 1860er Jahre, Bremer Mission (Cf. Album). (PST). Note translation: According to T. Garrard: Hornberger 1860's, Bremer Mission (see album QD-30.014). Note the fragment of the second (stereo) image remaining on the left. - If the photo is from Hornberger, than the photo was probably taken in the Volta-Region. (PST). - Early cataloguing identified the missionary with the umbrella as E. Perregaux. But the identification of the photographer as Hornberger, and the dating to the 1860s, are unambiguous. So the missionary depicted cannot have been Perregaux. (PJ 08.2002).
