Photograph of the Boundary Oak in the northeast corner of Griffith Park, ca.1886 (1926?). The tree is high on a hill at center and its thick twisted branches are covered with leaves. There is a leafless tree leaning into the picture at right, and a steep rocky cliff at left. The ground at right is covered with dry grass, and another leafless tree is visible in the distance. The boundary records of the ranches Los Feliz, San Rafael, and Provedencia were deposited at the tree.
