Description
Connie and Linda begin the interview discussing the context and plot of the book, and how the characters are thrown into uncompromising situations. They proceed to talk about the way in which the narrative deals with comforting lies, the development of certain characters in line with Linda’s vision, and her creation of specifically male characters according to her Oklahoma background. Connie and Linda then discuss the relationship between two chief characters in the novel, how Linda teaches throughout her writing, and the importance of her writing group experience.
