Description
View of the wooden frame of Hazard's Pavilion surrounded by lumber during the construction of the auditorium on 5th Street at the corner of Oliver Street in Los Angeles, California. Streetcar tracks are visible in the dirt street, and the wooden fence at the corner has signs with visible words including "Evans and Co.," "MacConnell," "Eagleson and Co." and "Fowler."
"Construction of Hazzards Pavillion [i.e. Hazard's Pavilion]"--text, handwritten in pencil on verso. Print is damaged. Title devised by cataloger based on note on verso. Date devised by cataloger based on building history; the auditorium was built in 1887 by architects Kysor, Morgan & Walls, and demolished in 1906.
