Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated February 8, 1963 reads, "When a 950-pound steer broke loose from a packing firm in Pacoima on Thursday, it decided to go for a stroll. So the 2-year-old animal ran down the street from the Globe Packing Co., 11200 Kewen Ave., and into the Pacoima Wash, where it threatened to charge several construction workers. Finally, the steer decided to take a rest. As you can see. Two packing firm employes [sic] then lassoed it and returned it to the packing company."
