In foreground parallel to the photograph is a long stack of wood; in the middle ground and background are buildings; to the left of the building directly in front of the stacked wood is an open area which is bordered by another building at the left; in the very background is a building with a tall stack on top; in the background on the left are trees.
"The last school census gave upwards of 10,000 children of "school age" It is unfortunate that Santa Clara Co. has no up to date shoe factories. Our leather products are shipped to New England. We import all our shoes. Which means millions annually."
