Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Juan Avila adobe from across a paved street in San Juan Capistrano, ca.1930. The one-story ranch house is shown at center behind a short picket fence. A wooden chair can be seen to the left side of the front door on the porch, which is shaded by the roof's awning. To the left, a section of the house extends outward without the porch, and appears to be sloppily painted as the windows seem drizzled with something opaque. The gate to the fence is at street level, lower than the rest. A paved road stands in the foreground.
