Photograph of embroidered case (one of two) for altar missal of Mission Santa Clara, ca.1908. The embroidered case has thick embroidered borders, and an intricate pattern of branches and leafs. There is a cross in the middle, and two hearts at the bottom. One of the hearts is pierced with a knife.
