Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 21, 1950 partially reads, "A Model T Ford once bucked a housepainter into another car, and as a result barrooms from Canada to Mexico were painted with murals by an artist named Guy M. Welch. Welch was the housepainter as well as the artist. He changed fields when the Model T incident made it hard for him to pursue his earlier trade. He lives in North Hollywood, now, surrounded by samples of the artwork he taught himself to do thirty years ago." Photograph caption reads, "Western artist - Guy M. Welch, 5543 Riverton Ave., North Hollywood, examines some of the thousands of Wild West paintings he has done since an auto accident launched him on an artist's career."
