Note that Mrs. George C. Roeding is Frances Baldwin and was born in Hawaii. Inter-titles and notes: "On May 4, 1935 Mr. and Mrs. George C. Roeding, Jr. sailed with their children from San Francisco aboard the S.S. Lurline for Hawaii. It was the start of a trip that will be long remembered with keen enjoyment by the Roeding's," "Photographed by George C. Roeding, Jr. May 4-July 3, 1035 Presented through the courtesy of California Nursery Company Niles, California," "Visits with friends and relatives delightful days and nights marked by the boundless hospitality of people who have learned to live for living's own sake, unhurried by the pressure of affairs that so often obscures the pleasanter things of life here on the mainland." "It was felt that friends here in the United States would like to share this happy trip -- and to enable you to make an "easy chair" journey through the Paradise of the Pacific, these motion pictures in full natural colors were made." "One thinks first of the soft music of native voices and strings -- of grass skirts and native dancing -- when Hawaii comes to mind. Yet these are the lesser characteristics of the Islands." What fun it is to go down in a submarine.” “Aloha” — all aboard Steamer Malolo bound for San Francisco.” “A 75 foot dive from the boat deck just for a dollar.” “The passengers of a speedboat have thrilling ride while escorting us to sea.” “These smiles are indicative of a happy visit in colorful Hawaii and the hope of an early return.” The California Nursery Company had an exhibit at the 1939-1940 World's Fair on Treasure Island in San Francisco, the Golden Gate International Exposition. The nursery showed movies in the "Old Adobe" building that was the center of their nursery exhibit. Possibly this was one of the movies that they showed.
