The Industrial Association of the San Fernando Valley was formed in 1949 and is a non-profit organization made up of retailers, banks, chambers of commerce, government agencies and other professional groups and serves to increase employment opportunities and protect the interests of Valley property owners and investors.
Photograph caption dated April 15, 1954 reads, "Good news on availability of labor to man industrial plants was heard by members of the Industrial Association. Seated, left to right, are Paul Von Gontard, Anheuser Busch; Judge David Fulwider, chairman; Chet Dye, program chairman. Standing, left to right, are Thomas J. Woods, Schlitz, and Sol Weislow, rug company official."
