Description: By the dawn of the Second World War, the over 179,000 registered drivers in the Sacramento Valley needed fuel and fresh tires for their automobiles. This January 20, 1939, photograph shows one such source, the Goodyear Service and Standard Oil Products station on 1530 L Street.
