Photograph caption dated May 6, 1955 reads, "Attorney General Brown Honored - Edmund G. "Pat" Brown, attorney general, is welcomed by Van Nuys Optimist President Irvin Ryder at annual local service club at Masonic Hall luncheon hosted this year by Optimists. Brown spoke to capacity crowd of close to 300 from nine clubs."
