Description
Photograph of a view of Los Angeles from St. Vincent's Hospital, January 1930. A large building stands in the foreground on the left with a fire escape which climbs down between the large, square windows of its wall. A brick building stands next to it on the right with arched windows resembling an older architectural style than the first building. The large buildings continue through the rows of palm trees at center until the sky scrapers take over the cityscape in the background. The buildings look faint in the distance where they are engulfed in smog.
