Description
View of cows eating grass at Bucks Ranch at Bucks Meadow. Donor/Source of Loan: Rob Hanford (loan). May 1926. Bucks Meadow. Bucks Ranch- well and pump in the background. This is the meadow to the east of the Bucks Ranch building. Directly behind the cow on the left is a pump house, and behind the cow on the right is a larger structure which GMW cannot identify. Next to the structure are three tents, similar to those seen in PCM?, suggesting that they are project related. "They had several buildings put in there (Bucks Ranch) for the surveyors (and early timber crews working for Ed Lane)." This photo was taken on one of GMW's days off for fishing. It was still considered the private property of the _?_ family, and it was somewhat of an honor to have the invitation.
