Bust-length portrait surrounded by images of buildings. Buildings include: California Theatre, Pacific Rolling Mills, Mission Wollen Mills, Cornell Watch Co., West Coast Furniture Co., Bank of California, Kimball Manufacturing Company, Gold Hill, Cal. Silk Factory, Palace Hotel. 2010-5128. Born in Ohio in 1826. Worked as ship-carpenter building steamboats. Arrived in Acalifornia in 1850 via Panama. Became agent for Garrison & Morgan, line of steamships. Eventually went into banking, became President of Bank of California. Died in 1875. Also have negatives: no. 25,349 (4x5 in.), entire image; no. 25,088 (4x5 in.), Cornell Watch Co.; and, no. 25,087 (4x5 in.), Kimball Mfg. Co.
