An exhibit of Mexican arts and crafts, including friezes and furniture, made an appearance in Los Angeles. Photo 7 is of an unidentified woman sitting atop a table that has been draped with a colorful "sarape". She wears a straw hat and can be seen 'weaving' another one by hand, as even more straw hats of different styles are stacked next to her. Traditional Mexican sarapes, or blankets, and numerous other textile products often consist of a dark ground color, and are adorned with bands of yellow, orange, red, blue, green, purple or any other bright color. The ends of the textile products are usually fringed.
