Lakeside Golf Club in Toluca Lake was the setting for the fete, at which hospital guild members modeled hats donated by famous designers and women prominent in civic, community and entertainment fields." Pictured is Mrs. R. E. Marquardt, displaying Mrs. John Wayne's chapeau. The guild supports Valley Presbyterian Hospital with volunteer work and financial contributions.
