Description
Photograph of the exterior view of an unidentified school in Pasadena (Altadena?), ca.1885-1910. The mission-style school stands about three-stories tall. The building, possibly made of adobe, has stuccoed walls, arched windows, several small arcades, Spanish tiled roofs and multicurved parapets. Two towers flank a multicurved gable on the facade. Two more multicurved gables are visible on the left side of the building. There is an American flag in front of the building. A short tree grows on the lawn to the left of the building. A line of stones forms a boundary between the yard and the dirt road. "Allen Arct." is written on the verso of the photo.
