Description
Side profile view of Meredith Pinxton Snyder, who served as Mayor of Los Angeles from 1896-1898, 1900-1904, and 1919-1921. During this period, Snyder was active in the movement to provide Los Angeles with a harbor at San Pedro and acquiring the shoestring strip that connected the two. During his time as mayor in 1901, the 3rd Street tunnel was constructed and there were 10,000 telephones in the city.
