Description
String oscillograph made by General Electric to observe the wave shape of alternating current signals. A vibrating mirror, in accordance with the signal, moved a light beam back and forth on the rotating mirrors, which gave the light trace an absissa so it could be viewed or photographed. Type PM. Form J. Serial number 705340. (Made in the 1920's, though patented April 20, 1903, April 27, 1909) [Description by John Kaar, February 1972] Perham no 457.71
