This is a photograph of Father Quirk on a sick call. "Man is dying on the 'kang' or heated brick bed, matting on top." Fr. Quirk says prayers over the dying man. Born in New Hampshire, Fr. Quirk came to Maryknoll in 1926 and was ordained to the priesthood on January 26, 1930. He was assigned to Fushun, Manchuria and remained there until he was repatriated in 1943. He temporarily returned to Kweilin in 1946. He was missioned in Musoma, Africa and later Taiwan.
