Description
Set along Business Route 40, in West Sacramento, is the Welcome Grove Auto Court. Opened in 1927, the motel featured a restaurant, bar, gas station and grocery store. Notable residents included the musical group the Turtles and Brian Hyland who sang the 1960 hit "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini."
