Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre i Hongkong blev grundlagt i 1965 af LWF/LWS’ regionale afdeling – på et tidspunkt hvor "byen var så fattig, at det var almindeligt for velgørende organisationer at uddele gratis mælkepulver". Centret blev gennem mange år pioner for en række erhvervsfaglige kurser, med henblik på at sikre studerende fra lavtlønnede familier et levebrød. De forskellige fag blev løbende tilpasset den aktuelle udvikling i samfundet. Et af de første kurser var et diplom-program i fotografering, som blev meget efterspurgt. Kwun Tong Vocational Training Centre in Hongkong was founded by the Regional Department of LWF/LWS in 1965 – at a time when "the city was so poor, that it was common for charities to distribute free milk powder". The center became for many years pioneer for a variety of vocational training courses, in order to equip students from low-income families with job training and life skills. Through the years, the range of courses changed in response to the actual development of the society. One of the primary courses was a diploma program in photography, being very much in demand. This photo - showing people lining up to get free milk powder - is taken, developed and printed by students of the centre.
