Description
"Refugees coming to get their food, at Leonard Hall servants' quarters. 1927-28 (Wang Nai Nai, an employee at Leonard Hall, has been an important part of proceedings from the beginning!)" The woman at the center of the photo holds a bowl with steam rising from it, and two children are in front of her. Another woman to the right is holding a child and a bucket, and several other people are partly visible on the right.
The refugee camp was run in conjunction with Cheeloo Medical College and Shantung Christian University [now Qi Lu da xue.]
