Photograph of a view of a lake in Westlake (later Macarthur) Park, looking west, 1932. The lake is at center and is full of smooth water that partially reflects its surroundings. Encircling the lake is a wide variety of trees and bushes. There are several small, flat-roofed buildings in the foreground, and many taller buildings are visible on the opposite side of the lake. A building with an extremely high tower protruding from its roof can be seen in the distance at left. A mountain range can be seen through some haze in the background.
