Description
Photograph of a exterior view of the Juan Maria Marron home on the Rancho Agua Hediona, San Diego, ca.1930. A one-story, unkempt bi-level adobe is shown at center, extending towards the distance at left. Much of the home's plaster has peeled away and patches expose the adobe bricks beneath. To the right, a small segment of the home appears to be an annex, its roof intersecting the longer, main roof by tilting in the opposite direction. A single door and window are visible in this section. Farther back to the left, three doors can be seen spaced at regular intervals beneath a small overhang from the shingled roof. Weeds fill the property in front of the house, growing around the foundation. A small pile of rocks is visible to the far right. Picture file card reads "A leather jacket soldier stationed at San Diego Presidio as early as 1805. House built about 1842".
