Title supplied by cataloger. This Chevrolet assembly plant opened in 1947 and produced the Chevrolet Corvair, Chevrolet Nova, Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet full-size models and the Pontiac Firebird. The plant was closed in 1992 after the production of Camaro and Firebird vehicles was moved to Sainte-The´re`se Assembly in Quebec. In 1998, the facility was razed and replaced with a large retail and industrial complex, known as The Plant. GM continues to operate a car-testing facility nearby. Cars are at a standstill on Van Nuys Boulevard near Arminta Street during an open house for a newly constructed Chevrolet assembly plant; view is looking north. The third billboard from the left indicates that the open house runs from 2/19-2/21/1948. Photograph dated February 20, 1948.
