Description
Famous scene from the 17 mile drive. Pebble Beach's famed Seventeen Mile Drive originated as a carriage loop around the Hotel Del Monte's forest preserve. Automobilists enjoyed the road as it was well-maintained and designed for sight-seeing. Stops along the Drive featured views of the Pacific shoreline. The drive around the loop was a highlight of the annual Mitchell Automobile Run to the Hotel Del Monte.
