This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian. Made accessible through a grant from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation and Photo Friends.
Located at 10919 Sepulveda Boulevard, this structure later became a Mail Handling Annex for the United States Post Office. Photograph caption dated February 6, 1962 reads, "A committee appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is weighing the possibility of turning this former San Fernando food store into a convention center. Supervisor Warren Dorn said the large building, on the west side of Sepulveda between Brand boulevard and San Fernando Mission road, 'has tremendous potential' as a trade and convention hall."
