Los Angeles' first High School at Temple Street and Fort Street (later renamed Broadway). The High School sits atop Pound Cake Hill which was later partially razed. It was later occupied by the old court building and later further razed. In 1972, the Criminal Courts Building was dedicated on the site and in 2002 renamed the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Courts Criminal Justice Center (210 West Temple Street). Streetscape.
