Description: A crowd of fairgoers gathers around to hear the "bally" or "outside talker" pitch to them the sideshow, a multi-act show of human and animal oddities. The Foley and Burk Carnival Company provided the feature sideshows, concessions, and Mardi Gras Carnival on the midway at the 1916 California State Fair.
