Exterior view of the Washington Irving Branch Library, designed by Allison & Allison, architects, and built in 1926 in Romanesque Revival style. It is Los Angeles Cultural Monument #307. Contractor was Gene B. Foster. Its materials included hollow tile, brick and stucco, with a tile roof. Approximate cost was $25,000. It opened to the public on December 15, 1926.
