Photograph caption dated May 10, 1963 reads, "David Mitchell, 13-year-old Valley Times TODAY carrier salesman, left, accepts a $25 U.S. Savings Bond from Richard E. Rose, commander of American Legion Post 843, Anheuser-Busch Inc. David won the bond for being the outstanding carrier salesman in the Valley. He was picked on the basis of scholarship, citizenship and his performance as a carrier salesman for 18 months. David is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mitchell, 2810 Wyoming Ave., Burbank."
