A group of men who appear to be at a camp or resting spot. One man (presumably Justin Dupuy - see notes) rolls his bedroll, and another holds a rifle. Horses, a wagon and belongings are seen around the group. Title transcribed from item. Date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that film negatives came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection. Note: this is a print - the original negative is not in this collection. The L.A. Herald, March 8, 1883 mentions: "Justin Dupuy, of J. Dupuy & Co, livery stable keepers." Another print of this image appears in the Huntington Library's Verne Dyson Collection (mssHM 26404). The writing on the print identifies it as "Making wine on Rancho La Ballona. Showing liveryman Dupee." That collection also has another photograph of the group.
