Photograph caption dated December 14, 1961 reads, "Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army is Mrs. E. H. Wedler, at right, wife of Sr. Maj. E. H. Wedler, commander of the Valley Corps. Vera Miles and Keith Larsen, co-stars of 'The Deadly,' now showing at the Valley Theater in Woodland Hills, contribute to the annual Salvation Army's Red Kettle Christmas Appeal. The Valley Corps is at 14933 Victory Blvd., Van Nuys. Proceeds from the kettles will be used for needy families in the Valley."
