South India, 27th April 1906. Dr. John Lazarus as a street preacher (seen in the middle). He was one of the quite few Indians, employeed by DMS for a missionary service. For many ways Dr. Lazarus was a significant person. Maybe his most important work was publishing of the magazine Satya Tudan (the Truth Message), written in Tamil and Telegu languages, and had a circulation of 10-12.000.
