Photograph of a Havasupai Indian boy bringing corn in from a field in the Grand Canyon, ca.1900. The corn is carried on a large conical basket, a "Kathak", on his back slung from a strap around his forehead. He is just emerging from the corn field. The nearly vertical rocky canyon walls loom in the background. A smaller child stands nearby (at right) in the corn, also with a kathak on her back.
