Photograph caption dated October 17, 1957 reads, "'Lady,' oldest resident of new San Fernando Valley Humane Society shelter, 15924 Arminta St., Van Nuys, strikes appealing pose in hopes of finding someone who wants to give her home. She is seven-year-old terrier mixture with 'lovable disposition,' according to Jack Damico, director, of non-profit animal shelter which opened four months ago."
