Photograph of a view of Fifth Street looking east, Los Angeles, ca.1927. An automobile is trying to cross the intersection at the center left of the photograph while traffic moves along the perpendicular road, both towards and away from the camera. In the buildings to the left side of the street, the Philharmonic Auditorium is visible approximately three buildings in from the foreground, where the Biltmore Grand Central Garage is situated. Other signs read "Car Stop", "Biltmore / Ben[...] Hur [...]", and "The Real Bargain Center of Los Angeles". Compare: CHS-2848.
