Secretary Belle Perry helps with adding machine to determine which city is third largest in U.S." Los Angeles and Philadelphia were battling for the title of the nation's third largest city. After some discussion, the representatives from each city agreed on the following points: 1) Smog is horrible ; 2) The traffic situation at Broad and Chestnut is just as tough as at Seventh and Broadway ; 3) William Penn was a fine man ; 4) Los Angeles is bigger in area.
