Photograph caption dated December 12, 1956 reads "Ground-breaking ceremony for the Valley's newest and tallest office building takes place on its Van Nuys boulevard site, adjacent to the Valley Federal Savings and Loan Association in Van Nuys. Participants, from left, R. E. Bridges, Travelers Insurance Co.; W. P. Whitsett; Cejay Parsons, Associated Architects and Engineers; Ted Leff, owner and developer of the project; L. G. Kiely, Travelers Insurance Co.; Robert Fuller, president, Van Nuys Chamber of Commerce." The group broke ground for the new branch of Travelers Insurance Company at 6850 Van Nuys Boulevard.
