"There's more to Downtown Plaza than appears on the surface, as this night photo shows. A construction excavation pit gives Sacramentans this view from 7th Street of illuminated parking garages below the new Weinstock's department store, left, and the Downtown Plaza building, right, which is on the north side of K street in the 500 block. The site in the foreground was excavated for a Liberty House department store and additional underground parking, expected to be completed in 1981, and a seven-or-eight story office building"
