The corner of Inglewood-Redondo Road and Imperial Avenue, the "hot spot" where teeming masses fought with tear gas and fists yesterday, is shown today---practically a No Man's Land. The troops kept pickets a mile from the strikebound North American Aviation plant, and only those with business at the plant could pass through the area. The United States Army took over the factory on orders of President Roosevelt, who said defense plane production must go on. Photo dated: June 10, 1941.
