Description
Raw footage of Hawaiian dance performance at Chabot College, as well as Latin music and dance performances in an unidentified gymnasium. Short segments of boxing footage from the Hayward Aztlan Boxing Club. It is unclear whether this footage was filmed for the Barrio Expressions cable access show. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
