Description
Fairgoers at the end of the 19th century stroll and ride by the Agricultural Pavilion located at the edge of Capitol Park; a hub of activity during California State Fair season. The original pavilion at 6th and M streets broke ground in the summer of 1859. At that time it was one of the largest public halls in the Unites States (100x140 feet.)
