Top sprinter, he was one of the most dangerous breakaway runners in the Valley. Played both at halfback and at end for the Lancers. Fine pass receiver. One of the finest defensive backs in the league. On a short pass ran 55 yards for a touchdown against San Fernando. Made a 75-yard touchdown run against Poly. A star in track and a fine baseball player. On his way to USC. (6-0, 170)." Spivak was selected for the Valley Times TODAY 1960 All-East Valley League football team.
