Photograph caption dated January 12, 1954 reads, "Miss Reba Wayne Williams, Southland school teacher, urges others to join army of 40,000 volunteers needed to accept contributions to 1954 Heart Fund on St. Valentine's Day, which has been designed Heart Sunday. Miss Williams was once given only hours to live but heart operation saved her life."
