The article partially reads, "Mrs. Justine Werner, Encino school teacher, housewife and a former petty officer in the Waves, has a new job in the American Legion. A woman of many interests, Mrs. Werner, 4725 Yarmouth Ave., last year was Department Vice Commander of the Legion - a statewide post which made her the highest-ranking elected woman Legionnaire in California. Now, she is beginning her term as adjutant of Encino's Mixed Post, No. 582, a post of 93 men and seven women."
